Romero Britto is a Brazilian neo-pop artist, painter and sculptor. He is best known for his expressionist color patterns of contemporary artworks combining the multi-dimensional facets of cubism, pop art and graffiti painting in his work.

Romero Britto was born in Recife, Brazil on October 6, 1963. Along with his eight brothers and sisters, he grew up living an extremely modest life in Recife, Brazil. His bold and colorful imagery permitted him to fulfill his life with vibrant colors and image of a beautiful world. At that point, Romero Britto's canvas was any scrap of newspaper or card boards he could find. With time, his extravagant passion for pop art grew incessantly.

In 1983, Romero Britto went to Europe to examine firsthand the Art of the masters. After demonstrating his artworks in several galleries and private shows; Britto travelled to United States of America where Pop Art was prospering at that time. He then moved to Miami and set up a studio open to the public. Romero Britto spent the next few years exhibiting and attracting the attention of many. But his resolve remained unshakable and his faith for art remains intact. Then, in 1989, Michel Roux, founder of Absolut Vodka's Absolut Art Ad Campaign, happened to visit his studio and offered him the job of creating artwork for their famous logo. From this, Britto's name has been added to the list of artist such as Warhol and Haring, also commissioned for the renowned Vodka campaign. As the time passed, Britto's studio in Miami Beach was rapidly increasing popularity as a place to meet and acquire an entirly unique style of art.

Constantly challenging himself and his artwork, Britto worked for various corporate giants including Movado, Disney, Enrico Coveri, Pepsi, the United Nations, BMW and Royal Caribbean Cruises. His proficient use of form and color reverberate with activism, permitting him to address an array of social and political issues.

Today Romero Britto's work is represented in galleries and museums across five continents. His work has been exhibited all over the world and has accomplished a colossal following. Romero Britto's artwork has received notoriety from several corporate commissions and famous art galleries. As a sculpture artist, Britto's sculptures are featured at various locations across the world, including JFK airport, NY and Hyde Park, London. His portfolio also includes several series of postage stamp designs for the United Nations Postal Administration and a postage stamp in Brazil that creates the 450th Anniversary of the city of Sao Paulo. In the artist's honor, New York Times wrote, "Matisse channeling Picasso," when Britto created a living canvas performed by the Cirque du Soleil in celebration of Super Bowl XLI.
